Just want to share...

Since Kings of Leon are my favorite band (saw them live this summer - AMAZING) and their 5th album was released today, I had to share the new single.....

Our Guest Bath Project! Put a Fork in it!

We're DONE!  After lots of frustration (crappy builders = bad plumbing and wiring) we finally finished what was supposed to be an 'easy' project.  I chose a misty grey/blue color from Behr called      .  I love this color!  It was the basis for the whole "look" of the room - think "spa".  It's now my favorite room in the house.  If I could take a book in there and kick my feet up for a few hours, I would!  The 'before' is sad... there was ugly wallpaper covering the walls (which was a pain to remove!!) and the whole room was just blah.... really, really blah.

After lots of elbow grease, some new hardware and paint we have a great new guest bath!

Cake, Birthdays & Family

We celebrated a huge milestone a couple weeks ago, which means that i'm officially getting old... my oldest turned 11! I decided that he needed a big, fancy cake for the occasion, and after making Jonathan's 1st Birthday cake last spring - seehere - so why not make it myself?!!! I saw some cute cheeseburger cakes at the grocery store and got inspired to make one myself. After lots of homemade marshmallow fondant and boxes of cake mix it was complete...

Not too bad, if I do say so myself!

It was a busy (and cold) weekend. We hosted a sleepover for one of Jake's friends and took the kids to Brunswick Zone for dinner and games. The following day we went to Jake's baseball game (where he hit a huge triple,might I add...) and had family from all over there to visit. There was pizza and cake to follow that. Sunday was yet another birthday celebration at Mimi and Bumpa's house where Chris's sister and her family were visiting. All in all, a busy, fun weekend.

I think Jonathan enjoyed the arcade...
